20 artists/20 solo shows/20 hours Kicks off at 9pm on Friday, Sept 7 and continues til 5pm Saturday Sept 8.
20 artists and collectives who have never before exhibited at Locust Projects will each present newly commissioned works in one-hour solo exhibitions. Held over 20 consecutive hours, artists will each have one hour to install their projects behind a closed partition while another project is on view for one hour in an adjacent space through the open door. The partition slides over and then the next project is viewable, and so on.
Visitors will be able to experience 20/20 at any point day or night from a tent-covered viewing area outside the Project Room’s open garage.
Organized through an open call for proposals by two of Locust Projects’ three co-founders, Westen Charles and Elizabeth Withstandley, 20/20 is an ambitious project reflecting on twenty years of supporting artists and artistic experimentation.

Join Michael Kass and Electric Sound Bath for deep breaths, renewal, healing and live sound-creations!
Breathwork is a powerful active meditation that invites a state of deep relaxation, supports the release of pent up stress and emotion, and helps you reconnect with a deep sense of purpose, clarity, and Self. After just one session, many people report feelings of deep connection, clarity, and grounded purpose. When we add the amazing work of Electric Soundbath to the mix, it's really magical :)
All are welcome; no experience necessary! Bring a friend or three!
Doors at 7:45 workshop will begin promptly at 8:00pm
An evening of breathwork, movement and ambient sounds. This workshop will consist primarily of relaxation and restoration. We will focus on breathing and meditation and move slowly into a sequence of grounding movement and gentle stretching. If you are someone who is looking for a dreamy state of relaxation, this is sure to deliver. All levels of movers are welcome and encouraged to join. With the accompaniment of a live soundbath by Electric Sound Bath inside "Before You Were Born," a psychedelic art installation by the talented Laurie Shapiro, we will move, breathe and connect to a sense of our deeper, truer selves.
Please bring a yoga mat, water, and anything to make yourself comfortable.
Limited street parking available. Lyft recommended.

Big City Forum cordially invites you to plated, multi-course urban dinner celebrating community, art, and radical change. Enjoy an al fresco dinner on the grounds of Blue Roof Studios, LA's newest community based arts complex, featuring locally sourced and sustainably grown cuisine made with love from the folks at RootDown LA. Plus we are featuring ales from Craftsman Brewing from Pasadena and select wines.
This special event will also showcase an intimate performance by Electric Sound Bath, a Los Angeles based duo comprised of Ang Wilson and Brian Griffith. Taking cues from nature, esoteric philosophy and decades of likeminded musicians, Electric Sound Bath creates accessible music that is equally at home in a remote ashram, as well as an urban performance space.
Proceeds benefit Big City Forum community based projects and RootDown LA's urban gardens and nutrition programs in South Los Angeles.
Event produced in collaboration with Leyna Lightman.
